Practically Free Body Scrub
This is a body scrub recipe I have been using for years! I'm not sure I can really even call it a recipe because of just how simple it is! I like to stay stylish while keeping it practical which is why I love this so much. It's fast, easy, cheap, and effective. All I do is mix equal parts of brown sugar and regular sugar in a small dish. Next I wet whatever part of me I want to exfoliate and scoop it out with a spoon so I don't get the mixture in the dish wet. You want to move fast because it does eventually dissolve in the water but if you apply is liberally and really get to scrubbing this stuff works better than any drugstore scrub I've ever bought, and it's practically free! I mean who doesn't have these ingredients in their cupboard already?!
I like to use this on my hands before I paint my nails so it feels like a manicure at a fancy salon without with fancy salon price. It also does wonders on any area you plan on shaving to remove any ingrown hairs or exfoliate away dead skin cells so you can get an even closer and smoother shave. If you are an avid spray tanner this will work great on rough patches on your knees, ankles, writes, and elbows.
On the very rare occasions when I get some time to myself I like to have a little at home spa in the bathroom complete with candles, a warm bath, bath salts, and of course my tried and true sugar scrub.
Happy Scrubbing!
I'd love to hear some of your favorite DIY beauty regimes.
