Fall Basket Fun

Fall Fun Basket

This post may not be big on style but it is big on some practical fall fun!

Ezra really likes leaves however he usually tries to eat the real ones, so this faux leafy basket works out great. I saw a similar idea on Pinterest and I knew I wanted it to be part of our fall advent calendar (which you can check out here).
All you need is:
-laundry basket
-yarn
-fake leaves
I used black yarn that I had lying around for a Halloween spider web effect. The fake leaves came from Dollar Tree. I got a couple packages.
Just loop your yarn through the holes of your basket to make it as "webby" as you prefer. I dumped the leaves in last so some would get caught on the different levels of the yarn making some harder to get to than others. This is a perfect fine motor skill activity for my 10 1/2 month old!

And the best part about this is when you turn the basket upside down to make "falling leaves" some of them get caught causing them to fall at different speeds. If you can't tell Ezra LOVES it!

I apologize for the blurry photo but it's pretty hard to be the one dumping the leaves and taking the picture. :)

Get down on the floor, be present, and enjoy your kids today!
Happy Leaf Dumping!
